The Eclipse (August 21, 2017)

About a month or so ago, I started asking Yahweh about the eclipse. I knew that it would not be insignificant, and I wondered what the prophetic implications of the eclipse were. I knew it would be a time of revelation, but I really didn’t hear anything else. In the meantime, I kept dancing with Yahweh and didn’t worry about it.

In the course of that dance, I wrote the poems "Awaken" and "The Stirring of the Prophets" about a coming Kairos moment whose bang and reverberations were being felt by me in what was then the present, although I knew the moment was still in the future. I was not sure when that moment was, and I still don’t have all the pieces to that, but I think it is connected to the eclipse and the months of September and October. I feel it is no coincidence that the eclipse, the Hebrew month of changing directions with Yahweh and how you think, and the Fall Feasts of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles all occur in succession.

This morning I awakened with a song in my head, which usually means something (sometimes that I’ve been listening to the song too much). This song is called “He is Able” by the old Christian group Truth that I used to listen to with my mom in the car when I was four. I found their songs (minus my favorite one!) on iTunes after the CD I had of it broke a few years ago.

I had been dreaming about the song, and I woke up with the line “And as the night gives way to dawning and evaporates away, I stand to face another day.” Since I was hearing the song in my head, I decided to listen to it. It’s playing right now in fact.

The line in the song “if He chooses not to move in the way we prayed He would, confident He’s working altogether for my good I will stand behind His Word for He is able” hit me very suddenly. I literally jumped out of bed to get my computer to write this out.

Before we move on, I want to be sure that you are aware of Teleios and Kairos. Teleios is where and when Yahweh has called you to be in this moment and place. It is the frequency of Yahweh in the now. Kairos is a divine, appointed moment of manifestation. If we are moving with Yahweh from Teleios to Teleios and following His frequency, we naturally come to our Kairos moments in their appointed times.

I saw that there is a cycle of day and night that is a set pattern that we have been experiencing throughout the course of human history. Day and night are not evil. I have always loved the night and found it incredibly beautiful and, in my days of illusion, comforting. The darkness was a warm, enveloping cloak that showed me the beauty of moon and stars. Day has its own beauties, and they are both ordained for their times. Day has Teleios and night has Teleios.

The eclipse will be a variation from that pattern. For a few moments, night will enter the day. Yahweh will not move in the way we have always known Him to move. The pattern will be altered in this time. While night and day will resume their normal patterns, the alteration will be a permanent set point in the pattern of our tapestry or divine dance. In other words, the pattern of Teleios, Teleios, Kairos will change for a brief moment to allow Kairos to come into Teleios instead of the other way around.

In other words, we have an opportunity to experience an ordained Kairos moment in this time that is not in the normal pattern of Teleios to Kairos moments. Revelation indeed…

So what does this mean? What do we, as prophetically aware sons of Yahweh, do about this eclipse?

As with the rest of our lives, we must continue to resonate with the frequency of Immanuel—Yahweh in the moment. As the pattern alters from what we’ve been used to, we cannot simply move on autopilot and rote through the same pattern we think we know. We must be aware and intentional about taking the next step with Yahweh. Again, this involves complete surrender to Yahweh and letting go, not striving. We must trust Him and step with Him where He goes as the pattern alters. Surrendering our understanding of the pattern based on what it has always been, we do not assume we know what the next step will be, but we pay attention and take the step He has for us in our union and intimacy with Him. "Lean not on your own understanding... and He will direct thy paths."

Change is coming! Be awake for it, My sons!

Religion vs. Relationship

In the Beginning, each of us was created to relate to Yahweh. Our purpose was to receive the infinite Love that He wanted to express and then, by returning to Him, partner with Him as creators. Just as with any human relationship, your relationship with Yahweh will be unique and individual. Your partnership with Him in the Divine Dance will trace a different path than anyone else's. The way you interact with Him will be vastly different from the way that anyone else interacts with Him. You will know Him differently than anyone else knows Him. And yet, He is One. He will not be anything other than Himself. Due to His Infinite nature, however, we cannot presume to define Him. We can only experience Him as He shows Himself to us. Anyone who relates to Yahweh is blessed by that relationship. Sometimes people don't know that they have the ability to relate to Yahweh as individuals. They either think that they have to relate to Yahweh like someone else relates to Him or they co...

The Meaning of Life

You know, people have been seeking and selling the meaning of life for probably as long as humanity has existed. Why are we here? What is our purpose? People have written countless books--many of which you can find in the self-help section of your local bookstore--about why humans are here and how to discover your unique purpose and meaning. Men and women often search for meaning in many places, usually in their jobs, their children, or their relationship with others. We are here to help others. We are here to give sacrificially. We are here to make the world a better place. We are here to leave a legacy. We are here to accomplish something... I have heard answers that range from "Life is a test for what you can handle in Heaven" to "We are here to fulfill a unique purpose designed for us by Yahweh and to bring Him glory in a way that only we can." The first one is, respectfully, preposterous, and the second one falls short of the greater Truth. Ultimately, no...

Pie

Imagine that all the love, affection, and resources (time, finances, emotional space, etc.) that each of us has is a pie. This pie may be larger or smaller depending on capacity and circumstances in a person’s life. Now, in order to be healthy and satisfied, each person must constantly be consuming an entire pie. But, after eating a single slice of our own pie, the rest of our pie cannot satisfy us or give us any nutritional value. What are we to do? We must give ourselves the first slice of our pie. This is self-love or self-care. That first slice imbues all of the other slices of our pie with nutritional value. But, after we have consumed the first slice of our own pie, the rest of our pie will give us nothing if we eat it ourselves. We must give the other slices of our pie to other people. Still, we must consume a whole pie to be satisfied, so others must give to us as well. In a healthy, functioning society and group, it would look like this: each of us eats our own first slice...
